"Colorful Sanbaishan" Photography and Short Video Works Competition and Gala

Call for Entries for Online Exhibition

An Yuan has a long history. According to historical records, people have lived here since the Neolithic Age. During the Yu Gong period, it was part of Yangzhou. In the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to Wu. During the Warring States Period, it belonged to Chu. In the Qin Dynasty, it was part of Jiujiang Prefecture. In the Han Dynasty, it was part of Yuzhu County in Yuzhou Prefecture. In 544 AD (the tenth year of Da Tong in the Southern Dynasties), An Yuan County was established.

An Yuan has a rich cultural heritage, a simple and hospitable local way of life. It is home to the well-preserved 1000-year-old Wuyi Temple Pagoda, the 800-year-old Yongqing Rock Guanyin Pavilion, and the 300-year-old Yongzhen Bridge. There are also clusters of traditional dwellings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Yundan Yueguo Family Ancestral Hall and the Yundan Zhongshi Ancestral Hall. An Yuan is the birthplace of the Gan Nan Tea-Picking Opera, the source of the Dongjiang River, and the 300 Mountain area, which is a 5A-level scenic spot. An Yuan is also the home of Chinese folk art (Tea-Picking Opera), Chinese couplet art, and Chinese snacks.

An Yuan is a revolutionary old area and was an important frontline position for the Central Soviet Area's anti-"encirclement" struggle. On January 30, 1929, the Red Fourth Army escaped from Kongtian there. On October 22, 1927, Zhu De, Chen Yi, and others led the remaining troops of the Nanchang Uprising in An Yuan and carried out the famous "Tianxin Military Reorganization" there, which was the beginning of the "Three Reorganizations in Gan Nan". In the area, there are also the ruins of the "Old Good Defense Battle" where the Soviet government of Caifang Township was located, and the ruins of the "Zun Sanwei Defense Battle" where an important supply center of the Central Revolutionary Base was defended.

An Yuan Mountain is picturesque with clear waters and pleasant climate. Its forest coverage rate is 83.4%, featuring superior natural ecology, beautiful scenery and abundant resources. It is a place rich in rare earth, molybdenum, lead and zinc mineral resources. It is also famous for its abundant produce such as tangerines, sweet potatoes and tobacco leaves. The San San Mountain Scenic Area, rated 5A, has a forest coverage rate of 98%, making it an excellent summer resort and a natural oxygen bar.

In order to showcase the tourism ecology, orange industry, beautiful countryside and urban construction of our county, to expand the external influence of Anyuan and help promote rural revitalization, to deepen the integration of culture and tourism, and to enrich the cultural life of the people, a "Colorful Sanbaoshi" photography and short-video works competition and online exhibition is hereby held to support the county's strategic deployment of "integrating into the bay area development and meticulously crafting the East River jade".
